DARS /Telemechanics systems for power facilities with Voltage Grade below 110kV

    Complex solution in Telemechanics/DARS, offered by LLC EnergyindustryAvtomatization includes systems for collection, processing and displaying of data, necessary for rapid centralized control of remote power facilities by means of transformation of control actions and controlled parameters into signals transmitted via communication channels.

    For power facilities with Voltage Grade 110kV, managed by JSC IDGC HOLDING, its structural subdivisions, generation companies, as well as for industrial facilities we offer several variants of the software and hardware complex.

   Our company uses two level structure of the system to achieve functionality and cost efficiency in generic solutions for Telemechanics/Telemetry and SCADA systems.


Middle (upper) level of the system:

  The Middle Level is formed by equipment that concentrate, process and transmit data from subordinate devices to the upper level and vice versa, as well as synchro-devices for subordinate devices.  A specific feature of Telemechanics/Telemetry and SCADA systems for small-scale facilities is combination of data integration function and transmission of Telemechanics data to the control room. These functions are performed by means of station communication and master controller in building the Telemechanics/DARS.


Lower level  

Lower (field) level has all the devices directly connected to the controlled facility. They provide collection of data and issue of controlling commands.

Structural chart of Telemechanics/Telemetry and SCADA system


This structural chart shows Telemetry and SCADA system without installation of Server, Automated workstation and SCADA NPT Expert at the facility. The server may be located in the control room. This provides for cost efficiency and allows data transmission directrly to the system control center or Regional Dispatching Office.

   Software and hardware solution for Telemechanics/DARS  NPT Expert provides in-time transmission of the power facility status data thus allowing rapid control of energy supply, fast detection and correction of disturbances, optimal and no-break power supply to different production areas. 

   Implementation of Telemechanics/DARS system developed by LLC EnergyindustryAvtomatization allows making power facility management more efficient and convenient.

Operative Interlocking of disconnectors   (OID)


Automated systems for technical and commercial book-keeping, electricity quality control

    Implementation of automated quality control systems, technical and commercial metering allows having operative data, controlling parameters of all the nodes in the network, finding possible cost-efficient measures. 

   LLC EnergyindustryAvtomatization uses its own HSS for engineering, development and implementaion of automated systems for commercial and technical metering and power quality control.


Implementation of such systems allows:

  • Assurance of information safety by means of software and hardware protection of data and use of protected protocols; 
  • Organization of parallel collection of data from all the metering stations, thus reducing poll time and data transmission time and extending system capabilities, allowing for connection of more metering stations;
  • Use of web-interface for displaying the data to user at any Internet-connected computer, including mobile devices without need to install additional software;
  • Flexible data access rules management.
  • Development of data displaying interface and report forms according to Client's wishes.




 System's architecture has three levels:

  • Data and measurement level. 

The principal task is measurement of electrical energy parameters at the metering station and transmission of data via communication channel (RS-485, RS-232, GSM, radio channel, etc.) to the data collection level.

The following equipment is used by LLC EnergyindustryAvtomatization at this level:

1. To control electrical energy quality:

- Satec PM175 – smart electrical energy quality analyzer compliant with GOST 13109-97;

- Satec EM720 – metering device  and power quality analyzer compliant with GOST 13109-97; 

2. For commercial electricity metering:

- Satec PM175;

- Satec EM720.

3. For technical electricity metering:

- BFM 136 – electrical energy meter for facilities with a large number of connections with low Voltage Grade;

- Satec PM130 – digital multimeter. 

  • Data collection level. 

   The level is built upon data collection controller. The controller allows integration of microprocessor energy metering devices using different digital protocols and transmission of data to the central server. Combining Data collection level with Data processing server into a single construct is possible for small-scale facilities

  • Data processing and storage level. 

   The task of equipment and software at this level is to assure data reception from remote data collection controllers, data storage in long-term archives, logical processing and provision of access by means of web-based GUI. It is possible to combine the server with an automated workstation into a single automated workstation.

   All the hardware solutions listed above can be installed at the facility as independent systems or as parts of NPT Expert HSS. 

   By adding the top level (Server and Automated workstation) it is possible to create a full-scale SAS with functions of monitoring, control, microprocessor equipment integration support for different data-controlling subsystems (MP RPA, centralized signalling, EA, fault recorders, Automatic system for commercial metering of power consumption, etc.), that provides both remote and local user with complete interface and assures transmission of data through telemechanics channels.
